Object of the company:

EASAC – the European Academies Science Advisory Council – is a network formed by the national science academies of the EU Member States, Norway, Switzerland and United Kingdom to enable them to collaborate with each other in providing independent science advice to European policy-makers. It thus provides a means for the collective voice of European science to be heard. Through EASAC, the academies work together to provide independent, expert, evidence-based advice about public policy to policy-makers within the European institutions.

EASAC is hosted at The Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften (Austrian Academy of Sciences; OeAW). OeAW has the statutory mission to promote science in every way. As a learned society the OeAW cultivates the discourse and cooperation of science with the public, politics and business. As the largest institution of non-university basic research in the country, the OeAW conducts application-open basic research at the highest international level at its 25 institutes.
